Mrs. Barbara Lynn Nesbit, of Woodstock, GA passed away May 3, 2019 at WellStar Tranquility Hospice following an extended illness. She was 70. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Poole Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 1-3 pm at the funeral home on Saturday, May 11, 2019. Burial will follow in Georgia National Cemetery at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 with Poole Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or www.PANCAN.ORG Mrs. Nesbit was born January 6, 1949 in Opa Locka, Florida to the late Bill Willey and Imogene McFalls Nesbit. Mrs. Nesbit graduated from Osborne High School in Marietta, GA in 1967. She married Darrell Nesbit on August 16, 1969 and accompanied him during his 23 years of active service in the Army with tours in Europe and Central America. Mrs. Nesbit had several jobs including bank/credit unions teller at Ft. Bragg and Ft. Campbell where she programmed one of the first public ATM'S. Project Manager at Dept of Engineering, Baumholder, Germany, later Director of Information Management during Desert Storm. She obtained her Graduate Degree from the University of Maryland at Extension in Munich, Germany. After her husband's retirement in 1993, she became a Project Manager at Sprint and Home Depot Corporate. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, W. Darrell Nesbitt, Woodstock, GA; two sons, W. Darrell Nesbitt, Jr and Kevin Erik Nesbit, MD; one brother, Randy Willey (Shirley); grandchildren, Darrell III, Emily, Joshua, Layla, Brody, and Kylie; Online condolences may be made at www.poolefuneralhome.net
