Debra McElderry

Debra Lavon Mitchell McElderry, age 60 of Canton, passed away Friday, September 9, 2017. She was born to the late Thomas Harry Mitchell and Barbara Deloris Mitchell on July 7, 1957. She has two remaining brothers Thomas and Douglas Mitchell of Collinwood, TN. She is survived by her husband William A. McElderry; two children, Melanie Heath and husband Ron Heath, and son Brendan McElderry of Canton. She has two surviving grandchildren Connor McElderry, 14 and Avery Heath, 8. She was a huge supporter of education and loved helping underprivileged children. Debra worked for the Cherokee County school system for over 25 years. Her heart was truly about making a difference in those that needed her most. Visitation services will be Sept. 14, 2017 from 5-8 at Poole Funeral Home. Her celebration of life will be Friday, Sept. 15 at West Milford Farm in Cumming, GA from 7-9.
