Mr. Harvey G. Busby, Sr. of Acworth, Georgia passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at his residence following an extended illness. He was 74. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Cemetery with Poole Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church on Friday March 8, 2019. The family will be accepting flowers or donations can be made to Huntington's Disease Society of America www.hdsa.org Mr. Busby was born September 27, 1944 in Hickman, Kentucky to the late Muriel C. and Dorothy Marie McClure Busby. Mr. Busby owned and operated Southern Services for several years. Mr. Busby was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Joe Busby, a sister, Anita Maynard, and a grandson, Dalton Busby. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Patricia Busby; two daughters, Kizzy Lee and Donna Palichat (husband, Dan); two sons, Harvey Busby, Jr (wife, Katherine), Reb Busby (wife, Amanda); four sisters, JoAnne Warwick, Brenda Schaeffer, Jackie Kleinsorge, and Robin Stroker; two brothers, Steve Busby and Anthony Busby; grandchildren, Harvey Busby III, Corbin Busby, James Busby, Hailey Lee, Christina Sovine, Daniel Palichat, Reagan Palichat, Evelyn Rose "Angel" Maria Busby, Peyton Busby, and Jade Smith; several nieces and nephews. Harvey loved all his family immensely. Pallbearers will be Harvey Busby III, Corbin Busby, James Busby, Harvey Busby, Jr., Reb Busby, and Curt Escher.
