James Williams

Mr. James "JR" Robert Williams Jr. age 68, husband of Linda Diane Williams passed away Monday, June 4, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. A memorial service for Mr. Williams will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018 in the Poole Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplin Ryan Johnson officiating. Interment of ashes will follow at Georgia National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. with military honors. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Poole Funeral Home. JR was born January 26, 1950 in Atlanta, to the late James Robert and Nubie Hall Williams. Mr. Williams was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Post 111 and a member of the Patriot Guard Riders. JR loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, working on his Corvette, and spending time with his dog Bowdie. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, James and wife Anna of Geraldine, AL; sister, Jean Wilkins of Temple, GA; brother Michael Williams of Anniston, AL; grandchildren, Dustin, Lexi and Charlotte Williams.
