Joseph Cerra

Joseph (Joey) Samuel Cerra, 58, ofWoodstock, GA, died December 8, 2016, (at Saint Joseph's Hospital, Atlanta, GA). Mr. Cerra was born October 6, 1958, in Gary, Indiana, to Joseph and Della Davis Cerra. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Brooke Cerra Funderburk, grandsons: Dylan George Statas, US Army Private, Delta Airborne Soldier Training, and Jordan Keith Peavy, High School Freshman; Sisters: Kathy Kelley & Nancy Merritt; Nephew: Jamie Williams & family; Niece: Robyn Brown & family; Uncle: Ralph Slagle, and several cousins He attended North Cobb High School in Acworth, GA, and served in the United States Army. He enjoyed gardening, music, football, but mostly he enjoyed spending time with family and helping his friends. Reverend Marvin Slagle, his beloved cousin, will officiate his memorial service on Saturday, December 17, 2016 @ 2:30 pm at Poole Funeral Home and Cremation, Woodstock, GA. In lieu of flowers, Joseph's family requests donations in Joseph Cerra's name to the local charity which provides help and assistance to people living in poverty: MUST Ministries, 1407 Cobb Parkway North, Marietta, GA 30062
