Mitchell Shelton

Mr. Mitchell Shelton, 68, of Alpharetta, Georgia, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020. Mr. Shelton was born in Doerun, Georgia. He served his country faithfully and retired from the United States Navy. Mr. Shelton also worked for many years at BellSouth. Mr. Shelton is predeceased by his wife Vanessa Barnes Shelton, parents and daughter, Christine Shelton. He is survived by four daughters, Marshell (Spouse- Jonathan), Jolyn (Spouse- Colin), Shametria, and Jasmine, one son, Titus (Spouse- Vanessa), one brother, John Shelton, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on July 22, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Poole Funeral Home located at 1970 Eagle Dr, Woodstock, GA 30189. Graveside services with military honors provided by the United States Navy will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery located at 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114.
