Ralph DeFreytas

Mr. Ralph Miles DeFreytas husband of Linda Smith DeFreytas, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at his home, at the age of 77. A memorial service will be held Tuesday July 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Poole Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. Ralph was born November 6, 1940 in Quantico, VA, to the late Charles and Lily Miles DeFreytas. Mr. DeFreytas was retired from the U.S. Forest Service where he worked as a Cartographer. He was an avid motorcycle rider and especially liked the Can-Am bikes. Ralph loved the outdoors and spent time boating and bicycle riding. He was an aerial photographer for the Forest Service, and continued to enjoy photography after his retirement. Ralph was a strong supporter of Pastor Arnold Murray and his Shepard's Chapel Ministry. Ralph was preceded in death by his brother Doug DeFreytas. In addition to his wife, Linda DeFreytas, he is survived by his brother, Steve DeFreytas and his wife Anne; Sisters in law Rhonda Vought and her husband Michael Sayre, Cheryl Jenkins and her husband David; brother in law Gary Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
