Raymond Wiggins

Mr. Raymond Henley Wiggins, of Decatur, Georgia, passed into the loving arms of his Savior after succumbing to Alzheimer's disease. He was 79 years old. Mr. Wiggins was born on April 5, 1937 in Musella, Georgia to the late Ernest and Betsy Elizabeth Presley Wiggins. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Bonnie Jean Wiggins, who passed away October 21, 2015. Mr. Wiggins was a salesman with Ivan Allen company for over 30 years and resided in Decatur for all of their married life. Ray was an avid gardener, loved remodeling their home and played tennis for as long as he could. Both his children and grandchildren reside in Atlanta. He was loved and he will be missed. Survivors include his daughter Julia Victoria Donaldson and her husband Tom; his son, Kenneth Raymond Wiggins and his wife Sally; his sister, Jacqueline Nevels; his grandchildren, Margaret and Sarah Wiggins, Matthew and Andrew Donaldson. A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Monday, December 26, 2016 at Poole Funeral Home Chapel. A catered reception will follow after the service at the funeral home.
