Seymour Thompson

Seymour Thompson, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away on Saturday, January 7th in Canton Georgia. Seymour was 75 years old and is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years Sara Thompson and their three children, Lisa Palmer of Marietta, GA, Karin Baust of Boston, MA and Mark Thompson of Baltimore, MD. He was also grandfather to 7 wonderful grandchildren. Seymour worked in NYC in the textile industry for his entire 40 year career where he moved up from the mail room to become a Vice President at Burlington Industries before retiring in 2002 and settling with his wife in Canton, GA. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed playing golf, spending time gardening and supporting the NY Jets. Memorial services, officiated by Rev. Dave A. Spence, will be held at Poole Funeral Home, 1970 Eagle Drive, Woodstock, GA 30189 on January 12th at 11:00 a.m.
