Barbara Lambert, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on May 1st, 2024, in Marietta, GA. Born on August 14th, 1948, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, Barbara was the daughter of Roberta and William Shaw.

Raised in West Memphis, Arkansas, Barbara graduated from West Memphis High School before becoming a member of our armed forces. In February 1967, she joined the United States Army, where she met her husband, Armand "Butch" Lambert. Their union blessed them with two sons and a daughter, Michael, Brian, and Melissa. Barbara served her country until October 1968 when she was honorably discharged.

Though Barbara and Butch parted ways in marriage, they remained live in companions until his passing in 2014. Barbara was fiercely independent. Her strong determination was evident as she returned to college, earning her Associate of Applied Science degree at the age of 44.

Barbara's professional life included time at FedEx and following her retirement there, continued her career as an administrative professional for the State of Tennessee.

Barbara's passions were as diverse as her life experiences. An enthusiast of all things Elvis, she found joy in music, travel, amusement parks (including roller coasters with her grandchildren) and tracing her family's genealogy. Her dedicated research led her to become a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

A woman of strong convictions, Barbara was deeply committed to her country and her beliefs in politics. Her Sundays were often spent attending services at the Church of Christ.

Barbara is remembered for her friendly nature. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience. She is survived by her sons, Michael Lambert (Keira), Brian Lambert, her daughter, Melissa Lutche (Leonard), her grandchildren, Noah, Callie, McKinsey, Michael Jr., and siblings, Benny (Sybol), Patty (Duffy), and Karen (Keith).
