Carlos Jose Esteves Demelo, Jr

Carlos J Demelo, 85, of Woodstock, Ga died in the arms of his wife, Laura, married for 60 years, on October 1, 2022. His passing comes after fighting dementia for 10 years. Laura lovingly, tirelessly, and selflessly cared for him throughout his illness and while he was on home hospice for his final 2 months. He is dearly loved and dearly missed. We know we will see him again as he trusted Jesus with his salvation and he is now with our loving Lord and Savior. 

Carlos and Laura are both Portuguese and met each other in Lisbon, Portugal 65 years ago. They married after 5 years of dating and falling in love. Laura was a hairdresser and Carlos,

an accountant.  Carlos is survived by his loving wife Laura, his son Luis, his daughter in law Cylinda, his daughter Ana, his son in law Matt, and his grandchildren Samuel and Harrison.
