Carolyn Hampton

June 11, 1941 — February 10, 2019

Carolyn Jean Hampton (Glass) of Ellijay, Georgia, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side, on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the age of 77. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 16, 2019 in the Poole Funeral Home Chapel in Woodstock, Ga., with Pastor Dallas White officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service and following the service. Carolyn was born on June 11, 1941 in Cincinnati, Oh. to the late William "Eddie" and Opal Glass. She was a 1959 graduate of Simon Kenton High School in Independence, Ky. She was a hard worker and business owner. Besides loving her ceramic shop, she enjoyed being the museum coordinator at the Cracker Trail Museum at Pioneer Park in Zolfo Springs, Fl. Carolyn was happiest when her family was gathered together. She loved to read, to garden, to paint and try her luck at the casino. She was quite the adventurer and loved to travel. She will be most fondly remembered by her daughters for instilling in them the importance of strength and family bonds. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-laws, Fannie Ren�e Magann, Myri�e Dawn and Robert Graham, both of Canton, Ga., Aim�e Carall and Charles Masters of Baton Rouge, La.,; grandsons Joshua Magann, Christopher Magann, Jordan Magann, Caleb Masters, Lucas Graham, Jacob Graham and Angel Fuentes,; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne Edward and Guri Glass of Williamsburg, Va., sisters and brother-in-laws, Linda Sue and Sonny Caldwell of Demossville, Ky., Connie Louise and David Meyer of Florence, Ky.; numerous nieces and nephews, and other family and friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by husband, Edgar Gene Hampton and granddaughter Elizabeth Magann. The family would like to thank the staff at The Oaks at Towne Lake and Agape Hospice for their care.
