Christine Greene Quatrone, 87, passed away on May 10, 2023. Christine was born in Blowing Rock, NC on March 21, 1936 to parents, Charles and Inez Moody Greene. Chris then went to live in Wilmington, NC, pursuing a career as an Arthur Murray dance instructor where she met and later married Ferdinand J. Quatrone on Sept. 14, 1958. Fred and Chris had three children, Billy, born in NC, Judy, born in Germany where Fred was stationed with the US Army, and upon returning to the states, Shawna, in Fayetteville, NC. After Christine was widowed, she moved to Springfield, NJ and married Anthony Quatrone, (predeceased). Christine obtained her NJ real estate license and successfully practiced for many years before traveling the country with Tony in their motorhome. Chris found much community and solace in the Baptist faith. She also continued to enjoy music and dance, and was involved in square dancing for many years, even participating in a show at Madison Square Garden among other venues. Over the years, she had many pet chihuahuas and was particularly fond of her toy poodles, Mimi and Penny.
NC and Florida became her retirement homes and Disney World became her retirement livelihood for almost 20 years. She shared her love and enjoyment of Disney with her children and grandchildren, sponsoring many trips for everyone over the years. It was at Disney that she met Vince Abad, (also predeceased), the endmost love of her life. Christine spent her final years in Georgia.
