Pastor Daniel Anthony Summa, Jr. of Canton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Northside Cherokee Hospital following a brief illness. He was eighty-two.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday October 10, 2022, at Poole Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Norman Hunt and Kevin Huff officiating. Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Memory Gardens with Poole Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Sunday, October 9, 2022, from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Monday, October 10, 2022 from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at Poole Funeral Home Woodstock. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church, 78 Ridge Road, Canton, Georgia 30114.

Pastor Summa was born January 17, 1940, in New Jersey to the late Daniel Summa, Sr. and Margaret Lerro Summa. Pastor Summa served in the U.S. Army Reserve for 6 years. Pastor Summa had a heart for the Ministry and serving others. He also had a musical talent and loved playing the piano, guitar and the accordion. He was a Traveling Evangelist for 10 years, then he Pastored Bethany Assembly in Hillside, N.J. for 15 years, also Faith Chapel in Berkeley Heights N.J. for 17 years. Pastor Summa was also a small business owner of Dan’s Painting & Decorating for 60 years. He loved wood working, building furniture and was also an avid reader. More than anything Pastor Summa had a generous heart and was Faithful to the Lord until the very end.

Pastor Summa was a Loving & Devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and friend & Pastor.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Judy Summa; two daughters, Debra Udvarnoky (Marty), Doreen Valdes; one son Daniel Summa (Guisela); two sisters, Louise Sirigotis and Madeline Senchak (Mel); grandchildren, David and Marisa Valdes, Ryan and Amanda Udvarnoky, and Daniel Reynaldo Summa; several nieces and nephews.
