be forever missed by all who knew him. Pat had a presence simply unmatched and whoever met
him never forgot him.
Pat was born on February 26, 1949, in Mobile, Alabama. A child of a military family, he grew up on
the Air Force base in Charleston, South Carolina,. where he met his beautiful wife Susan when he
was only 14 years old. They were a match from the start. Through all of life’s twists and turns, they
were never apart.
Pat was a force of nature, and his adventures in life were unparalleled. No one could tell a better
story, catch a bigger fish, change a flat tire faster, or deal a quicker hand of poker.
Pat was a devoted grandfather to all eight of his grandchildren. They were truly his reason for
living. May they forever know how loved they were by their grandfather.
Pat is survived by his devoted wife, Susan Shannon; his children, Christopher (Karen), and Ericka
(Reed); plus, his beautiful grandchildren: Nicholas, Wesley, Gregory, James, Emery, Colin, Lydia,
and Elyse. His memory will live on through them always.
A private service will be held for family and close friends, on Saturday, April 6 at Lutheran Church
of the Redeemer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's
Children’s Hospital or the Food Ministry at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Pat's memory.
May peace be yours now and forever. Your race is won. May the Lord of All welcome you home.
You will never be forgotten. You were loved.
