Diana Lynn Hinton, a beloved soul who brought light and joy to all who knew her, passed away on July 29, 2024, in Marietta. Diana was born in Coweta, Oklahoma on July 4, 1952, to her parents Marvin & Pearl Chance.
Diana had a fulfilling career, working for 19 years at Tripp-Chafin & Associates before retiring to focus on her favorite job of all - caring for her grandchildren. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her career as she was known for being a kind, loving, and feisty individual who took care of those around her.
One of Diana's fondest memories was traveling to see southern gospel singing groups with her loving husband. She found joy in simple pleasures like reading, watching television, and spending time with her family. Diana also had a special affinity for watching and feeding the birds in her yard, finding solace and peace in nature. Diana had a close personal relationship with God, and was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church in Acworth, Georgia for 31 years. She loved her church family and enjoyed participating in the BSF group.
Among her proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren whom she cherished deeply. Diana is survived by her husband of 23 years, Larry Lee Hinton, daughter Amber Mullins & husband Nathan, son Justin Hill & wife Kimberly, stepdaughters Christina R. Petrick & husband Terry, Angela Steele & husband Paul, Melinda K. Marshall & husband Justin, step-son Keith Hinton & wife Tracy, sisters Connie Beene & husband Frankie and Sharon Judd & husband Larry. She is also survived by grandchildren Ethan Mullins and Clare Susana Mullins, 11 step-grandchildren, 6 step great-grandchildren, 8 nieces & nephews, as well as a multitude of friends who will miss her dearly.
A visitation for family and friends to gather will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 between the hours of 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Wildwood Baptist Church in Acworth, Georgia. A second visitation will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 between the hours of 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Wildwood baptist Church with the Funeral service begining at 11:00 AM.
