Erik enjoyed a fulfilling career as a manager at Northside Tool Rental, where he worked for over 25 years, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clients alike. His unwavering dedication to his job mirrored the commitment he showed towards his loved ones. He was particularly fond of cooking, often delighting those around him with his culinary skills, especially in preparing seafood and steaks.

Erik cherished spending time with his family, creating countless memories that will be treasured forever. He and his beloved wife, Teresa, enjoyed 25 wonderful years of marriage. They shared a love for travel, with many fond trips to Gatlinburg, where they created lasting memories soaking in the jacuzzi and enjoying the beauty of nature together. Erik also had a keen interest in American History, particularly World War II, often engaging in discussions about the past and imparting knowledge to those around him.

He is survived by his wife Teresa, daughters Ashley (Ty) Youngs and Heidi (Kyle) Thomas, and grandchildren Hayden Rose, Brooklyn, Tripp Youngs, and Kenneth Thomas. Erik is also remembered by his brother Kurt Weinelt and sister-in-law Mindy Weinelt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Patricia Weinelt, who have surely welcomed him with open arms.
