Floice Shook

Ms. Floice (Peggy) Shook age 84 of Ellijay, Georgia passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2021. Ms. Shook was born in Hiawassee, Georgia to her parents, Omer and Ruth (Hemphill) Shook on October 26, 1936. For many years she owned and operated Buddys Garden Center in Acworth, Georgia. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Mr. Omer and Mrs. Ruth Shook, grandchildren, Benjamin and Zachariah Dobbins, and great-grandchildren, Addison Grace Burdett and John Henry Thomas. Survivors include children and spouses, Peggy and Eddie Richardson of Jasper, Jimmy and Debra Dobbins of Ellijay, and Robert and Pam Dobbins of McCaysville; grandchildren, Jessica Hamrick, Lauren Crider, Christy Nichols, Brooke Burdett, Larissa Herndon, Alise Blankenship, Kayla Bobo, Phillipp Dobbins, Kimberley Thomas, Katherine Travis, Sara Barbosa; 16 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild on the way; her brother, John (Brenda) Shook of Lithia Springs; as well as several nieces and nephews. Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Floice (Peggy) Shook will be held on Thursday, February the 4, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Poole Funeral Home in Woodstock, Georgia with Rev. Robert Dobbins officiating. Interment will follow in the Rolling Hills Cemetery in Acworth, Georgia. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm.
