Born on April 14, 1925, in London, England, she met Earle Albert Bemis during WWII. As a war bride, she moved to the United States to Jersey City with her son Earle, and later welcomed a daughter, Beverly. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, and dancing, her afternoon teas, bridge games, and social gatherings. She also enjoyed gardening, favorite colors were hues of purple.
Florence is survived by her daughter Beverly Bruce, son-in-law Earl Bruce, granddaughter Shannon Massey-McKinney, granddaughter Tamara Leigh Runyon, great-grandsons Nathan and Evan Duhaime, great-grandson Brennon Corbitt, 2nd great-grandson Harley Michael Corbitt-Arbona, and nephew Nicholas Allington.
Internment will be at Marietta National Cemetery on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 12p.m. alongside her beloved husband and son.
