Linda Louise Carson

Linda Louise Carson passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 31, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.  She passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.   She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Francis and Jean Houle, sister Audrey Howle and brother-in-law William Howle.  Linda is survived by her devoted children, Karin Fussell (Rick), Steven Carson (Keri) and her three adoring grandchildren – Abigail Carson, Ryan Fussell and Cameron Carson.

She was born in the Bronx, New York, and spent her days at St. Benedict Catholic School.  Upon high school graduation, she attended Bronx Community College earning an associate degree and then on to City College of New York, in Manhattan, where she obtained her business degree and began work with RCA in Rockefeller Center.  She relocated to Marietta, GA, in 1976, while raising her family.  At the age of 40, she went back to college to obtain a second degree in accounting.  She spent 25 years with Wells Real Estate Investment Company and retired as their Controller. 

Linda’s passion for travel took her throughout Europe along with travels in Peru and Canada.  She also enjoyed exploring the United States where she loved visiting US State Parks.  She loved cooking from scratch for her family and everyone has their favorites.  Her holiday meals have created traditions in her children’s families that will always be remembered and will be hard to duplicate.

Being one of the original parishioners of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Linda enjoyed her times with the 50+ club as Treasurer, playing Wednesday Bridge and being part of the Woman’s Guild.   She also spent many years with the Roswell Striders walking her way through Georgia. 

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 11AM at St Ann’s Catholic Church, 4905 Roswell Road, Marietta, GA.
