Mrs. Marie Shore Malloy 89 of Woodstock departed this life peacefully to journey home Tuesday March 15, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Marietta, Ga to Roy and Era Marie Allen Shore, Sr., Marie lived a blessed and full life. Her southern charm, beautiful smile, warm welcomes, hospitality and genuine care for all, positively touched and influenced the lives of those who knew her for five minutes or her entire life.
Marie was the Queen of Atlanta’s Tulip Festival at Hurt Park, a coach, community volunteer, realtor. The one aspect of her life she loved more than anything was being a mom. She married Russell Gordon Malloy Jr., and had four children to whom she devoted herself and filled with inspiration and love.
She could literally be found at every single event her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren participated, watching in support as their biggest fan. Her support reflected who she was and all she wanted to share and pass on to her family. She provided love, guidance, advice, but more than anything, unconditional love. She was proud of each family members accomplishment, but more important to her was the quality of character displayed by and type of people her children were before, during, and after each accomplishment.
Mrs. Malloy is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Era Shore, Sr.
Survivors include children, Lynne M. Malloy of Woodstock, Leigh M. Hudson (Keith) of Marietta, Lesli M. Taylor (Terry) of Marietta, Russell Gordon Malloy III, Tray (Melanie); brother, Roy Shore, Jr. (Janet), nephew Roy Shore III; seven grandchildren (KeLeigh, Kacie, Lindsay, Drew, Matt, Madison, T.J.) and five great grandchildren (Nathaniel, Jaxon, Antonio, Jacob, Jonah).
Services to honor the life of Mrs. Marie Shore Malloy will be Sunday March 20, 2022 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Poole Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the service hour.
Burial will follow for family only at Mountain View Cemetery in Marietta.
