Martha Sue Paulk

June 30, 1946 — March 30, 2022

Martha Sue Paulk was a beautiful, humble, devoted and, most importantly, Godly woman that loved her family and friends. God commands us to, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and love your neighbor as yourself." It is evident to all that Martha/Mom/Grandoll/Granna was a wonderful example. She was an incredible wife to her husband, a committed and loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandkids, a supportive and loyal sister, and a loving aunt to her precious nieces and nephews. She demonstrated the love of God to her family and friends by reflecting the joy of the Lord wherever she went. Her smile was contagious as she made others feel more important than herself. What an example of Jesus' love that we all need to emulate. One of her favorite scripture verses was, "This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." This is the verse that was chosen for her tombstone and one that she and Auburn would quote every morning during their devotions. It is easy to imagine Jesus saying to our precious Martha, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

Martha was Predeceased by her parents, son Larry Dean Hall, and sister Marjori Gaylor; and survived by her husband, L Auburn Paulk, Daughters, Linda Buchanan (Bill), Kathy Carl (David), Son Jeff Paulk (Jan), Grandsons Hunter Carl (Katie), Christopher Carl (Haley), William Paulk (Meghan), Benjamin Paulk, Colin Buchanan and Taylor Buchanan; her sisters Betty Stewart (Darryl), Merlene Pynes (Mack), Claranel Vandevender (Bobby), Sherry Lewis, and brother, Keith Etheridge, as well as many beautiful nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.
