Robert Engesser

Mr. Robert "Bob" Engesser husband of Norma Keel Engesser, passed away Monday, August 6, 2018 at Emory Hospital, at the age of 71. A graveside service will be held Friday August 10, 2018 at 9:30 AM at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. Bob was born June 15, 1947 in Atlanta, GA, to the late Willie and Sarah Engesser Jr. He was a dedicated Navy man, having served during Vietnam, participating in the Mariel Boat Lift and serving as the Closure Officer at the Orlando Training Center. He was retired from the Navy as a Lieutenant Commander, having served in the Nurse Corps for 16 years where he was a teacher of medical personnel and received numerous awards and commendations for his service. In addition to his wife, Norma, he is survived by his daughters, Sarah Skipper and Olivia Engesser; brother, Johnnie Engesser; grandchildren Victoria Engesser, Scott Engesser and Jacob Skipper; as well as three nephews.
