Stephen Wallace Travers

Mr. Stephen Wallace Travers 71 of Acworth departed this life Tuesday February 11, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Travers was born May 29, 1948 in Connecticut to his parents, Wallace and Ruth Godwin Travers. Mr. Travers was a Fireman for over 33 years with his last 30 years being with the City of Atlanta where he held the rank of Captain. Stephen is preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Ruth Travers, brothers, Bruce Travers and Don Travers. Survivors include his loving wife Caryn "Cricket" Travers, daughter; Allison Travers of St. Simons, step daughters, Wendy Edwards(Mike) of Roswell, Emily Bryant(Chris) of Woodstock, Ali Fox(Steve) of Acworth, son, Cole Travers of Kennesaw, , brother, Dave Travers(Jana) of Martinsville, In, grandchildren; Olivia Bryant, Jada Fox, Hannah Bryant, Pierce Edwards, Ian Fox, Delaney Edwards and Blakely Edwards and sister in laws Sue Travers and Addie Travers of Sunrise Fl. as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held on February 29, 2020 from 4 PM until 7 PM at 1565 Boxwood Trace Acworth, Georgia 30102.
