Terry R. Smith, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away early Wednesday morning October 26, 2022, at his residence following a brief illness. He was seventy-five.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Poole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marty Benton and Rev. Ken Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm at the funeral home. The employees and drivers from Southeastern Freight Lines will be Honorary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to The Hope Center, 295 Molly Lane Unit 120, Woodstock, GA 30189 or at www.supporthopecenter.com

Mr. Smith was born January 12, 1947, in Columbus, Georgia to the late Roy and Goldie Morgan Smith. Terry later entered the U.S. Army and served his country faithfully and was a proud veteran. Mr. Smith was a hardworking and resolute employee with Southeastern Freight Lines for more than 40 years and was issued numerous Safe Driving Awards. He was also known for being a very inspirational mentor to several who knew him. Terry also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. Terry was a Faithful member of First Baptist Church of Woodstock for more than 30 years. Terry was a Wonderful Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and God Father.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, also a son Mark Smith in 2011, and a brother “Little David” Tony Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Eugenia Smith, Woodstock, GA; a daughter, Keri Smith Barone (Brian); grandkids, Kaylyn Smith and Jordyn Smith; great grandchild, Charlie Halverson; his siblings, Donna Sexton, Tim Smith(Patricia), Teresa Geiger(Rickie), Melody Powell(Calvin), and Melissa Huddleston(Wayne);  brothers-in-law, Fred Aiken(Sue), and Jody Aiken; two special cousins, Margaret Hackett and Brenda Jernigan; numerous nieces and nephews;
