Victor Lewis Zagarola

Victor Lewis Zagarola, of Marietta, GA, passed away on December 12^th, 2023. He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on January 9^th, 1951, to the late Victor Armando Zagarola and Evelyn Juanice Jones Zagarola.

Victor, also known as “The Taller Son,” by his father, graduated from Tucker High School in 1969. While there, Victor was the Tucker Tigers High School place kicker in football for the 1968 and 1969 football seasons. He also excelled at Pop Warner Football as a defensive guard. After high school, Victor went on to study business at Georgia State University.

Victor was a voracious reader who traveled the world through history via reading. He was immensely proud of his Italian and Texan heritage. He was a avid flier, holding a pilots license and flying gliders. He was an extremely caring, giving, and loving man. He will be remembered for his love of music, the Wild West, and the family that he cared so much for. He was a lifelong haberdasher and the quintessential salesman. He was an advocate of fine art and music across truly diverse genres. His favorite pieces included Chuck Mangione: Children of Sanchez, Rhianna Giddens: Cry No More, George Frideric Handel: Water Music, Samuel Barber: Adagio for Strings, Maynard Ferguson: Malaguena, Grace Slick: Somebody to Love.

Victor is survived by his brother, Stephen Wayne Zagarola (Myriam) and his sister Patricia  Zagarola Ponder (Mark). Also left to carry on his memory are niece and nephews, Andres Zagarola (Julie), Jean-Paul Zagarola (Lora), Ansley Mosher (Jarred), Alessandro Zagarola, and Daniel Ponder.

Mr. Victor Lewis Zagarola will have a visitation on Friday, December 22^nd, 2023, from 1:30pm to 2:30pm at Poole Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will begin at 2:30pm on Friday, December 22^nd, 2023, at Poole Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Rolling Hills Cemetery HWY 92, Acworth, GA 30102.
